AIRCRAFT TECHNICIAN

Description

 Technicians are an essential part of the Maintenance Team. This position is responsible for performing maintenance according to the FAA CFR 145 regulations and company RSM/QCM. Technicians work directly with shop personnel on all maintenance matters. Technicians ensure completion of work is accomplished with the latest Technical Publications. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Evaluate maintenance/repair requirements for aircraft parts and components. Able to disassemble, inspect, and repair using technical manuals and other approved data.
  • Assists in technical guidance during the development of repairs outside of the approved data scope when required.
  • Ensures approved repair operations are carried out.
  • Ability to teardown, inspect, build, and test parts and components as required.
  • Document maintenance/repair actions per company and FAA requirements.
  • Ensures a safe and clean working environment.
  • Communicates effectively with the FAA and the Accountable Manager. 

Requirements

  •  Familiar with airframe, component, Sheetmetal and composite repairs.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience.
  • A&P License is not required, but preferred.
  • Knowledge of design techniques, principles, tools, and instruments involved in the maintenance and repair of aircraft parts and components.
  • Able to accomplish all repairs, modifications with little to no assistance.
  • Able to use all tech data to locate part numbers and accomplish repairs.
  • Ability to assemble and set up test fixtures for testing purposes.
  • Must be able to use electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic test equipment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid, clear driver's license.
  • Pass a background test.
  • Pass a DOT drug test.

Working Conditions

This position works in a warehouse. Temperatures range during seasonal periods; fans and heaters are provided. 

Full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Flexible) 

Language

 Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Job Type: Full-time


Pay: $20 - $30 per hour
